French Field Pea Export SlumpVANCOUVER - Jan 16/08 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France continued to decline in November, sinking below both month earlier levels and plunging to a sixth of the volume exported last year. Data from the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP) revealed exporters shipped 6,885 metric tons (MT) of peas in November, down from 18,580 MT in October and down 84.2% the 43,665 MT of field peas shipped the same month last year. This lifted exports clearances so far during the 2007-08 marketing campaign to 100,055 MT, down 48% from the 192,375 MT shipped the first five months of the previous marketing year.
