Good Start For Lentils in 2008VANCOUVER - Jan 11/08 - SNS -- International lentil markets opened the new year on a relatively firm note, with markets in the United States helped by the USDA's purchase of 13,250 metric tons (MT) of lentils for shipment from origin as food aid this month. Markets also took attention of the fact the USDA's December 1 stocks in all positions report showed available supplies of lentils were down 24% from the previous year at 96,026 MT.
