Firm Start For Field PeasVANCOUVER - Jan 11/08 - SNS -- Field pea markets opened the new year on a relatively firm note, with inter-dealer markets in both Canada and the United States little changed. Processors in the United States were encouraged by recent USDA purchases of 6.150 metric tons (MT) of product for January shipment from origin and a new tender seeking 3,460 MT of whole or split green and yellow peas.
