Mostly Firm Finish For BeansVANCOUVER - Jan 11/08 - SNS -- Dry edible beans markets finished the week on a generally firm note, though some exporters note they are seeing limited interest from Europe because of recent heavy arrivals of Argentine origin product. North America's spot market index for dry edible beans finished the week at 1091, up 17 points from the previous week and compared to 891 at this time last year. The grower index finished up 20 points at 1010, versus 793 at this time last year. The grower share of the weighted average dealer price for beans now stands at 82.8%, up 0.4 points from last week and up 3.3 points from this time last year.
