Bean Supply Concorns IncreaseVANCOUVER - Jan 11/08 - SNS -- Protests at the U.S.-Mexico border to ring in the full implementation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the elimination of any duty and import controls on dry edible beans attracted a good amount of attention from the press in Mexico and North American farm press. However, market participants view the protests are mere political posturing. Dry edible bean processors in Mexico, the United States and Canada are expecting to face a tough time maintaining seeded area.
