U.S. Oat Inventory DeclineWASHINGTON - Jan 11/08 - SNS -- Oats stored in all positions on December 1, 2007 totaled 94.5 million bushels, 4% below the stocks on December 1, 2006, according to the USDA. Of the total stocks on hand, 43.1 million bushels are stored on farms, down 19% from a year ago. Off-farm stocks totaled 51.4 million bushels, up 12% from the previous year.
