USDA Tenders for 3,460 MT Peas
KANSAS CITY - Jan 9/08 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here is seeking offers of 3,460 metric tons (MT) of whole and split peas for shipment as food aid under two separate PL-480 invitations.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 018A, the USDA is buying 630 MT of split yellow peas packed in 50 kg bags for shipment from interior plants between February 16 and March 9 and between March 9 and 28 for plants located at port. The peas are for shipment to Guinea.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 018C, the USDA is buying 2,830 MT of split green and/or yellow peas and/or whole yellow peas packed in 50 kg bags for shipment from interior plants between March 1 and 22 and between March 23 and April 13 for plants located at port. The peas are for prepositioning at port for later use in export food aid programs.
