Australian Livestock Auction Action SlipsSYDNEY - Dec 14/07 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd rebounded during the past week on lower livestock offerings. Throughput for the week totalled 46,088 sheep and lambs, versus 49,263 head during the previous week's auctions, and 2,300 head of cattle, compared to 4,463 last week. "Sheep and lamb numbers continued along recent trends," AuctionsPlus said. "Strong competition from increased numbers of processors and better demand from restockers saw prices fully firm on last weeks rates and excellent clearance rates in most sales."
