French Field Pea Exports DecliningVANCOUVER - Dec 10/07 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France continued to decline in October, slipping below both month earlier levels and sinking to less than half the volume exported last year. Data from the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP) revealed exporters shipped 18,550 metric tons (MT) of peas in October, down from 19,320 MT in September and down 53.2% the 39,595 MT of field peas shipped the same month last year. This lifted exports clearances so far during the 2007-08 marketing campaign to 89,845 MT, down 39.6% from the 148,720 MT shipped the first four months of the previous marketing year.
