Mixed Week On Bean MarketsVANCOUVER - Dec 7/07 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets were mixed during the past week, with North American values finishing on a slightly easier note against a firm finish for other origins. North America's spot market index for dry edible beans finished the week at 1115, down 14 points from the previous week and compared to 868 at this time last year. The easing on North American markets reflects the fact values have plateaued in recent weeks against a seasonal slow down in both shipping demand and grower selling. The grower index finished unchanged at 989, versus 761 at this time last year. The grower share of the weighted average dealer price for beans now stands at 79.3%, up 1.0 points from last week and up 0.1 points from this time last year.
