USDA Buys 9,360 MT Pulses
KANSAS CITY - Dec 5/07 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 9,360 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 127B, the pulses were bought packed in 50 kg bags for shipment from interior plants between January 1 and 22 and between January 23 and February 13 for plants located at port.
Average prices paid by the USDA continued to improve with higher prices paid than last month for most commodities.
