Edible Beans Hold Firm ToneVANCOUVER - Nov 30/07 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets maintained their firm tone against good buying interest from European and Brazilian importers for both current and 2008 crop product. North America's spot market index for dry edible beans finished the week at 1129, down seven points from the previous week and compared to 858 at this time last year. Markets are 90 points shy of the record, which was set at 1219 in June of 1990. The grower index finished up one point at 989, versus 755 at this time last year. The grower share of the weighted average dealer price for beans now stands at 78.3%, up 0.5 points from last week and down 0.6 points from this time last year.
