Birdseeds Maintain Values
VANCOUVER - Nov 30/07 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets maintained their firm tone in light trade during the past week.
White proso millet markets in the United States were nominally unchanged at U.S. $9.75 per 100 pounds (cwt) on inter-dealer markets and $9 for farmers dressed product; while confectionary sunflower grower bids were unchanged at $27 cwt for larges and $19 for smalls.
New crop bids were $3 higher for larges but unchanged for smalls. Oil type sunflower markets were unchanged in North Dakota, but firmer in Kansas.
