Chickpea Maintain Values On Indian WorriesVANCOUVER - Nov 23/07 - SNS -- International chickpea markets maintained their values during the past week even as trading in Mexican origin product picks up steam. Processors in that country report relatively good participation in markets by growers and exporters. However, traders there remain worried about kabuli chickpea production prospects in India during the coming rabi or winter cropping season. However, total rabi season chickpea production could be down from last year as farmers switch from desi type chickpeas to wheat, according to P. M.
