Beans Close on Strong NoteVANCOUVER - Nov 23/07 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished the week on a strong note, with markets in both North and South America advancing on the week. North America's spot market index for dry edible beans finished the week at 1136, up seven points from the previous week and compared to 850 at this time last year. Markets are 83 points shy of the record, which was set at 1219 in June of 1990. The grower index finished unchanged at 988, versus 752 at this time last year. The grower share of the weighted average dealer price for beans now stands at 77.8%, down 1.0 points from last week and down 1.4 points from this time last year.
