USDA Buys 1,130 MT PulsesKANSAS CITY - Nov 21/07 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 1,130 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid. Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 117A, the pulses were bought packed in 50 kg bags for shipment from interior plants between December 2 and 24 or from plants located at port between December 24 and January 14. In discussing results of invitation 117A, the USDA said, "Offers for 250 MT of Buckwheat (consolidation number CR-07-00817) were rejected due to price.
