Field Peas Continue To StrengthenVANCOUVER - Nov 16/07 - SNS -- Field pea markets continued to strengthen during the past week, helping by strong import demand from Asian destinations for whole yellow peas. Markets were also interested by initial seeding progress reports from India, which reveal fewer pulses have been planted so far for the rabi or winter season. The country's agriculture department reports pulse seedings currently total 6.75 million hectares, down from 6.985 million at this time last year. Seeding is around the half way point.
