Chickpeas Fret Over India
VANCOUVER - Nov 9/07 - SNS -- Desi and kabuli chickpea sellers are closely watching the evolving weather situation for rabi or winter season pulse crops on the Indian subcontinent.
While desi chickpea exporters are looking for signs import demand will remain strong through the opening quarter of 2008; kabuli chickpea exporters are hoping "dollar chickpea" area does not increase substantially because of the impact rising exports could have on world trading levels.
