Mixed, But Strong Finish For BeansVANCOUVER - Nov 9/07 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished the week on a mixed note, with Argentine and North American values remaining strong despite more aggressive Chinese selling. North America's spot market index for dry edible beans finished the week at 1131, down 11 points from the previous week and compared to just 845 at this time last year. Markets are 88 points shy of the record, which was set at 1219 in June of 1990. The grower index finished unchanged at 1002, versus 738 at this time last year. The grower share of the weighted average dealer price for beans now stands at 79.3%, up 1.2 points from last week and up 1.2 points from this time last year.
