Sharp Drop in AWP HarvestWASHINGTON - Nov 9/07 - SNS -- This year's Austrian Winter pea harvest in the United States is estimated at 150,000 cwt (100 pound units) or 6,804 metric tons (MT), down 42% from last year, according to the USDA's latest crop report. Area harvested is forecast at 14,000 acres, down 38% from last year. Average yield is expected to be 1,071 pounds per acre, down 80 pounds per acre from last season.
