USDA Tenders for 1,180 MT Pulses
KANSAS CITY - Nov 8/07 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here is seeking offers of 1,180 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid.
The lion's share of the tender is for dry edible beans, with the USDA seeking 990 MT of light and/or dark red kidney beans and/or small red and/or pink beans; along with 190 MT of green split peas.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 117A, the USDA is buying the pulses packed in 50 kg bags for shipment from interior plants between December 2 and 24 or from plants located at port between December 24 and January 14.
