Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 1/07 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary:
nil.
Current Weather Situation and Future Developments:
On Friday and Saturday a trough in the north and the front from the west are
expected to form a deepening trough and Low over eastern parts of the state,
resulting in rain moving to central  and southern parts of the state Friday
through to Saturday. On Sunday a High will move into the Bight with a ridge into
New South Wales, and rain should contract eastwards in the north.  However, an
upper cold pool may see a continuation of showers along the southwestern border.
Computer models show a low off the south coast on Monday with strong, moist
southeast winds over southeast NSW.
Forecast for Friday
Rain areas over northern and central districts, with possible moderate falls .
Scattered showers over the remainder. Isolated thunderstorms in the north and
east. Northeast to northwest winds, tending south to southwest in the south.
Forecast for Saturday
Rain periods or scattered showers with isolated thunderstorms in eastern and
southern parts of the state. Some moderate falls. Isolated showers in the
northwest. Southwest to southeast winds in the south. Northwest to northeast
winds in the north.
Forecast for Sunday
Rain areas and isolated thunderstorms in the east, particularly the southeast.
Isolated showers in the southwest. Fine in the northwest. Southwest to southeast
winds in the south and west. West to northwest winds in the northeast.
Forecast for Monday
Rain areas on the south coast and adjacent ranges. Isolated showers over the
remainder of the southern half and on the north coast. Fine elsewhere. Southwest
to southeast winds, strong on the south coast.
