Canaryseed Lifts Birdseed ComplexVANCOUVER - Oct 26/07 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets ended the week on a generally firmer note, led higher by Canadian canaryseed. Both grower and inter-dealer markets were higher, with grower bids jumping CDN $1.50 per 100 pounds (cwt) for farmers dressed product delivered western Canadian processing plants; while dealer markets advanced $1 for machine dressed product packed in bulk. This resulted in a significantly narrowing the basis spread for canaryseed from $2.85 to $2.05 cwt.
