USDA Tenders for 13,260 MT PulsesKANSAS CITY - Oct 24/07 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here is seeking offers of 13,260 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid. Field peas regained their status as the dominant commodity sought by the USDA, accounting for at least 4,360 MT of the total, while the USDA is also seeking 3,980 MT of yellow split peas and/or lentils; 360 MT of small red beans; and 4,560 MT of lentils. Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 117, the USDA is buying the pulses packed in 50 kg bags for shipment from interior plants between December 1 and 22 or from plants located at port between December 23 and January 13.
