Peas Advance in Light TradeVANCOUVER - Oct 19/07 - SNS -- North American field pea markets posted a strong finish against relatively light buying by end users, but continued difficulty originating product from growers in both Canada and the United States. Official grower bids remain just shy of their long terms records in both countries, with instances of near record prices paid for specific qualities of product from growers. Once again, growers should get samples in front of prospective buyers in an effort to get the best price. This is true of both superior quality and more especially true for offgrade peas, which are trading both into human consumption and domestic feed pea markets.
