Strong Undertone in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Oct 12/07 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week with a strong undertone, despite weakness in the sunflower complex.
White proso millet markets in the United States remain strong at the grower level, with processors raising asking prices as they meet domestic and export shipping requirements. Markets were described as being very active on the week.
Sunflower seed markets, by contrast, were easier for oil type, while unchanged for confectionary.
