Dairy Product Markets Weaken
WASHINGTON - Oct 12/07 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States were all lower over the week ending October 6, according to today's USDA statistics.
Cheddar Cheese prices realized for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.95 per pound. The price per pound declined 6.0 cents compared to the previous week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.95 per pound, down 6.7 cents from last week.
Butter prices obtained for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.33 per pound. The U.S. price per pound declined 2.3 cents from last week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices paid for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged $2.05 per pound. The U.S. price per pound fell 1.1 cents compared to the previous week.
