Firm Finish For LentilsVANCOUVER - Oct 5/07 - SNS -- North American lentils finished the week on a firm note, with end user demand continuing to outpace grower selling interest in both Canada and the United States. U.S. markets remain in record price territory for Spanish brown or pardina lentils. This is also true of Canadian red lentils and medium green or Richlea inter dealer markets. U.S. regular lentils are at least a third below their all-time highs, which Canadian large green lentils are only U.S. $3 per 100 pounds (cwt) or $66 a metric ton (MT) shy of their record valuations.
