Lentils Maintain Bullish MomentumVANCOUVER - Sep 28/07 - SNS -- International lentil markets maintained their bullish momentum through the past week, with solid increases in export trading values reported. International trading levels are being forced higher by the strong Canadian dollar and rising international transportation costs. Buyers in Latin America report paying U.S. $800 per metric ton (MT) during the week for No 1 grade large green or Laird lentils from Canada. Exporters report buyer want to buy No 2 Lairds at around $720 MT on an CIF destination ports basis, versus asking prices between $740 and $750 MT.
