Sunflower Ending Stocks Plunge 61%
WASHINGTON - Sep 28/07 - SNS -- Sunflower stocks in all positions on September 1, 2007 totaled 303 million pounds, down 61% from a year ago, according to the USDA's latest stocks in all positions estimates.
All stocks stored on farms totaled 26.6 million pounds and off-farm stocks totaled 276 million pounds.
Stocks of oil type sunflower seed are 129 million pounds; of this total, 19.3 million pounds are on-farm stocks and 109 million pounds are off-farm stocks.
Non-oil sunflower stocks totaled 174 million pounds, with 7.33 million pounds stored on the farm and 167 million pounds stored off the farm.
