USDA Buys 2,560 MT Pulses
KANSAS CITY - Sep 27/07 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 2,560 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 097D, the pulses were bought packed in 50 kg bags. The USDA bought 300 MT of dark red kidney beans for shipment from interior plants between October 1 and 22 or from plants located at port between October 23 and November 13; and bought 2,260 MT of yellow split peas for shipment from interior plants between November 1 and 22 or from plants located at port between November 23 and December 13.
