Red Meat Inventories RiseWASHINGTON - Sep 21/07 - SNS -- Total red meat supplies in freezers rose 7.5 million pounds in August to 949.8 million pounds, up 3% from the previous year, notes the USDA in its latest report on agricultural products in cold storage. Frozen pork supplies rose 2 million pounds during the month to 457.9 million pounds, up almost 42 million pounds from the previous year. Stocks of pork bellies were down 28% from last month at 22.7 million pounds and up 90% from last year.
