France Starts 2007-08 on Down NoteVANCOUVER - Sep 17/07 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France are starting the 2007-08 marketing campaign on a soft note, with shipments in July down sharply from both month and year earlier levels. Data from the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP) revealed exporters shipped 12,605 metric tons (MT) of peas in July, down from 48,585 MT in May and less than half the 33,365 MT of field peas shipped the same month last year.
