Indian Nigerseed Output RisingVANCOUVER - Sep 14/07 - SNS -- India's Solvent Extractors' Association expects nigerseed production to jump from 70,000 MT last year to 100,000 MT this year. This is down from the 110,000 MT grown in 2005. SEA expects this season's kharif oilseed crop to reach 15.15 million MT, up from 13.15 million last year. Groundnut output is forecast to jump from 3.5 to 4.6 million MT; soybean from 7.66 to 8.6 million; sunflower to drop from 540,000 to 450,000 MT; sesame to drop from 400,000 to 350,000 MT; castorseed to advance from 780,000 to 800,000; and toria to jump from 200,000 to 250,000 MT.
