Sugarbeet Outlook ImprovesWASHINGTON - Sep 12/07 - SNS -- Sugarbeet production in the United States is forecast at 30.1 million tons, 1% above the August forecast but 12% below last year's production of 34.1 million tons, according to the latest USDA crop production estimates. Growers expect to harvest 1.24 million acres, unchanged from the August forecast but down 5% from last year. The yield is forecast at 24.2 tons per acre, up 0.2 ton from last month but down 1.9 tons from the 2006 record high yield.
