India Tenders for 30,000 MT PulsesNEW DELHI - Sep 11/07 - SNS -- India's State Trading Corporation Ltd. will tender September 17 to buy 30,000 metric tons (MT) of pulses for delivery in November and December, including: 5,000 MT of red lentils (masoor); 5,000 MT of lemon tur whole (arhar); 10,000 MT of dun peas; and 10,000 MT of desi chickpeas (Chana). The tender documents state, "Red lentils, dun peas and chick peas can be offered either loose in bulk or loose in containers. Lemon tur whole to be offered bagged in containers. Pulses offered in bags shall be packed in new 50 kgs seaworthy jute/pp bags of uniform quality and weight capable to withstand 50 kgs weight and capable of withstanding multiple handling. 2% empty extra bags to be supplied free of cost, along with the cargo. Marking instructions to be advised separately." Red Lentils (Masoor), Lemon Tur Whole (Arhar) and Desi Chickpeas (Chana) to be offered one safe Indian port/berth at West Coast (Mumbai, Nhavasheva)/East coast (Kolkata) basis. Dun Peas to be offered for Tuticorin/Kolkata Ports. The prospective bidders are required to quote on C&F (Free Out) basis along with Port of loading. 14 days free time to be allowed for containerized cargo at discharge port.
