LITTLE ROCK - Sep 10/07 - SNS -- The latest weekly rice market summary for the United States was released by the USDA today.

   Domestic shipment: Offers, fob mills, milled rice, spot prices, dollars per
cwt, bagged. (All milled rice grade No 2 not to exceed 4 percent brokens,
except California grade No 1. All second heads grade No 4 or better, second
head and brewers are bulk.)

                             Domestic Situation

   Domestic milled rice price quotes were steady in the south and in California.
By-products were uneven in the south, mostly steady, and steady to 5.00 lower
in California.

   In the south, long grain rice prices were steady, quoted mostly at 19.00-
19.50; medium grain prices were steady, quoted mostly at 22.00-25.00; parboiled
rice prices were steady, quoted mostly from 20.00-23.50; second heads were
steady; brewers were steady. Rice by-products: Offers for rice bran were
uneven; millfeed was steady to 2.00 lower; hulls with limited sales were steady
to 2.00 higher.

   In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady, quoted mostly
from 25.00-26.00; short grain prices were steady; second heads were mostly
steady quoted mostly from 17.00-17.50; brewers were mostly steady, quoted mostly
at 15.50. Rice bran was 5.00 lower; rice hulls were steady, quoted mostly at
15.00.
