Birdseeds Unchanged to FirmerVANCOUVER - Sep 7/07 - SNS -- Canadian and U.S. birdseed ingredient markets finished the week unchanged to firmer in light trade. Limited harvest activity in both countries and a lack of grower selling interest in western Canada remain key factors in price. Concerns were also expressed about average yields for Canadian canaryseed. Processors report a higher than normal percentage of "blank heads" on account of extreme heat during July.
