Lentils Maintain Firm ToneVANCOUVER - Sep 7/07 - SNS -- Lentil markets maintained their firm tone through a holiday shortened trading week and despite significant harvest progress in both Canada and the United States. While growers are delivering against deferred delivery and other production contracts, they are reluctant sellers of open market product. Processors believe yields are slightly below average, which has some looking for a moderate, downward revision in Statistics Canada's October 4 crop report.
