USDA Tenders for 6,860 MT PulsesKANSAS CITY - Sep 5/07 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here is seeking offers of 6,860 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid. Peas remain the dominant commodity sought by the USDA, accounting for 4,040 MT of the total, while the USDA is seeking 990 MT of dry edible beans; and 1,830 MT of lentils. Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 097A, the USDA is buying the peas and beans packed in 50 kg bags and lentils in 6/4 pound packaging for shipment from interior plants between October 16 and November 6 or from plants located at port between November 7 and 28.
