Australia -- New South Wales Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Sep 2/07 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. Warning Summary: Strong wind warning for coastal waters south of Wooli. Current Weather Situation and Future Developments: A cold front currently on the south coast is expected to bring a fresh to strong southerly along the remainder of the coast later today or overnight. A strong high is expected to move to the southern Tasman Sea tomorrow in the wake of the front, bringing a deepening southeasterly airstream along the New South Wales coast. The high is likely to remain over the southern Tasman through the week, maintaining this moist east to southeast flow. Development of a low within the trough late in the week is reasonably likely. Forecast for Monday Isolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly on the Hunter and Mid North coasts. A cooler gusty southerly change spreading through the west and south, and reaching the Mid North Coast in the evening. Forecast for Tuesday Scattered showers over the northeast quarter and isolated thunderstorms over the North West Slopes and Plains. Isolated showers along the remainder of the coast and adjacent ranges. Fine in the southwest. Moderate southeast winds, fresh to strong along the coast.
