Australia -- Victoria Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Sep 2/07 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. Warning Summary A strong warning is current for all Victorian coastal waters. Current Weather Situation and Future Developments A cold front over central and western Victoria will cross the State overnight. A high pressure system will move from the Bight to be southwest of Victoria on Monday, reaching the Tasman Sea on Tuesday and then persist there for a number of days. A front will weaken in the Bight on Wednesday and slip well southeast of Victoria Thursday. Victoria Monday: Scattered showers over the southwest and central districts will extend throughout overnight, but tending isolated in the north and remaining mostly fine about the northwest plains. Showers clearing in the west during the day. Isolated snow showers above 1000 metres. A cool to cold day with moderate to fresh southerly winds. UV Index: 3 to 4 [moderate]. Tuesday: Fine apart from isolated clearing showers in the east and local morning fog patches inland. Local morning inland frost. Generally cool.
