Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 2/07 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary:
Strong wind warning for coastal waters south of Seal Rocks.
Current Weather Situation and Future Developments:
A front near Adelaide is moving rapidly eastwards. It will enter the southwest
of the state later today, and move through to the northeast by Tuesday morning.
The air behind this front is dry, and although some showers should accompany the
front, these are likely to be brief and light, especially over the inland.
Southerly winds along the coast will strengthen during Monday. A high will be
centred west of  Bass Strait on Monday and will move to the southeast of
Tasmania on Tuesday, after which it will continue in the southern Tasman for the
remainder of the week, maintaining an easterly airstream  and isolated showers
along the coast and east ranges.
Forecast for Monday
Isolated early brief light showers along the southern border extending
northeastwards to the Mid North Coast and adjacent ranges. A cooler southerly
change is expected to move through most of the state, reaching Coffs Harbour by
about midnight, with winds along the coast becoming fresh and gusty after the
change.
Fire danger:
Forecast for Tuesday
Fine in the west. Isolated showers along the coast and ranges, tending scattered
in the north and developing in  the northeastern inland in the afternoon. East
to southeast winds, fresh to strong along the coast.
Forecast for Wednesday
Isolated showers in the east, clearing on the South Coast. Fine inland. East to
northeast winds inland and southeast winds along the coast, fresh to strong in
the north.
Forecast for Thursday
Isolated showers on the coast and east ranges, extending in the north to the
western slopes. Fine  elsewhere. East to northeast winds in the west and south,
and southeast winds over the remainder, fresh along the far north coast.
