Australia -- Victoria Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Sep 1/07 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. Warning Summary A frost warning has been issued for the Wimmera, North Central, Northern Country and Northeast districts for Sunday morning. A strong warning is current for coastal waters west of Wilsons Promontory. Current Weather Situation and Future Developments A high pressure system over the western Tasman Sea will continue to move east. A cold front will reach southwest Victoria later Sunday, before crossing the State early Monday. Another high pressure system will move from the Bight to be southwest of Victoria on Monday and then reach the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. Victoria Sunday: Fine and mostly sunny tomorrow apart from scattered showers developing in the southwest in the afternoon and evening then extending east overnight. Morning frost inland, locally severe, then a mild day with freshening northwesterly winds ahead of a cooler southwesterly change. UV Index: 3 to 4 [moderate]. Monday: Showers, more widespread about the ranges and in the south becoming isolated in the west and clearing. Isolated snow showers on the Alps. Cool.
