North American Beans AdvanceVANCOUVER - Aug 31/07 - SNS -- North American dry edible beans experienced good strength during the past week on general concern that production levels for most classes of beans are inadequate to meet prospective demand. News of damage from rains in parts of the growing region and near frost in several parts of North Dakota added to nervousness. The effect was reflected in North America's spot market index for dry edible beans finished the week at 1042, up 24 points from the previous week; while the grower index finished 46 points higher at 922.
