SWP Becomes ViterraSASKATOON - Aug 30/07 - SNS -- The Saskatchewan Wheat Pool (SWP) has changed its name to Viterra and is seeking to change its stock exchange ticker symbol to reflect the new business name. Pronounced vy-terra, the name change is the first step in rebranding the recently combined operations of the SWP and Agricore United. The company expects to have gross revenues of over $4 billion in the coming fiscal year from over 100 grain handling facilities and 276 agri-products retail stores. Other business holdings include 100% ownership of Western Co-operative Fertilizers Ltd. a leading fertilizer distributor with investments in manufacturing; Can-Oat Milling, the largest industrial oat miller in the world; and Livestock Services, which has feed plants in Western Canada, Texas and New Mexico.
