Mixed Week for Birdseed Ingredients
VANCOUVER - Aug 24/07 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets continue to post a mixed performance during the past week, with Canadian markets firming and those in the U.S. unchanged to weaker.
Markets were not distressed by the latest Statistics Canada canary and sunflower seed production estimates for western Canada.
Canaryseed output is forecast up from last year, but processors and exporters remain worried about the yield potential of unharvested fields.
