Pea and Lentil Tenders Reach 21,110 MT
KANSAS CITY - Aug 22/07 - STAT -- The quantity of peas and lentils covered by USDA PL-480 food aid tenders this season now totals 34,560 MT, compared to 23,280 MT last year.
Purchases of green peas are up 6,540 MT at 8,980 MT versus 2,440 MT last season. Food aid demand for U.S. regular lentils is down 2,980 MT from last year's 5,980 MT.
