USDA Tenders for 13,130 MT PulsesKANSAS CITY - Aug 22/07 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here is seeking offers of 13,130 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid. Peas remain the dominant commodity sought by the USDA, accounting for 7,050 MT of the total, while the USDA is seeking 4,090 MT of dry edible beans; and 1,990 MT of lentils. Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 097, the USDA is buying the pulses packed in 50 kg bags for shipment from interior plants between October 1 and 22 or from plants located at port between October 23 and November 13.
