Mixed Finish For Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Aug 17/07 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets posted a mixed finish in light trading activity, with Canadian markets firming and U.S. markets easing.
White proso millet markets continued to lose value during the past week, with markets sinking 75 cents per 100 pounds in the U.S. mid-west to finish at up to $9 to growers and a nominal $9.50 cwt on inter-dealer markets.
Sunflower seed markets in the United States were mixed to somewhat weaker for oil-type; while confectionary sunflower seed markets remain motionless.
